BWC Rebate Program

The Ohio Bureau of Workers’ Compensation (BWC) has renewed their Safety Council Rebate Program for the 2024-25 Program Year. The new Program Year begins on July 1, 2024, and ends on June 30, 2025. The new Program Year will offer a 3% rebate based on your Workers’ Compensation Premium, an increase over last year.

Participants will still be required to attend 10 Safety Council meetings. We offer numerous opportunities for you to fulfill this 10-meeting requirement. We will conduct twelve luncheon meetings, one each month that will be held at one of three venues. We will offer several safety workshops and training sessions in our Safety Council Classroom that qualify as a meeting credit. However, you may exchange two of the ten Safety Council meetings for two other sessions of qualified training. You can check with our Safety Council to determine what qualifies as a training session.

Please review the BWC Rebate Program Information sheet that explains the details for the Program including eligibility requirements and potential financial rebates. There are many benefits for your participation in this Program. First, you can receive money back from the BWC which serve as savings in your Workers’ Compensation costs. Secondly, by actively participating in our Safety Council meetings, you will receive information that will be helpful to keep your organization safe and hopefully accident-free. If you prevent one employee injury, it could save your organization thousands of dollars from accident/injury related costs and increases in your BWC Premiums.
