Council Membership Makes a Difference
The Greater Cleveland Safety Council (GCSC) is an independent, non-profit, non-governmental organization that operates throughout Northeast Ohio, but primarily focuses on the Greater Cleveland Metropolitan Area. We encourage safe practices and accident prevention at the workplace, manufacturing facilities, busy highways, and everywhere in between.
We work with our members to help them create or strengthen their existing safety programs by providing the necessary education, training, and materials to help them reinforce an effective safety culture within their organization.
As a result, Ohio benefits from The Greater Cleveland Safety Council and its goal of preventing unnecessary accidents and injuries. According to business and law enforcement officials, our programs have been highly successful in helping to create an atmosphere of safety in the communities we serve.

Ability to participate in the Ohio Bureau of Workers’ Compensation (BWC) Safety Council Discount Incentive Program. This program only applies if you pay into the state fund for Workers' Compensation and you are not self-insured. Depending on the size of your Workers’ Comp. Premiums, you could receive a significant discount for successfully completing this program. Please call our office at (216) 621-0059 for specific questions about the program and how your organization may be able to benefit.
Access to special rates on Workers’ Compensation for those eligible to enroll in the Group Rating Program sponsored by our Safety Council and offered through Avizent (formerly known as The Frank Gates Company).
Exclusive discounts on monthly luncheon meetings with presentations on a wide variety of health and safety topics.
Exclusive discounts on custom health and safety training programs conducted at your facility or at the Safety Council's classroom. Members may use the classroom for these custom programs at no additional charge.

In an effort to reduce the number of workplace accidents and to share resources and information on accident prevention, risk management and workers’ compensation in Ohio, the BWC’s Division of Safety & Hygiene and your local safety council co-sponsor this program.
By submitting this enrollment form, the employer makes a commitment to send representatives to the majority of safety council meetings and to submit semi-annual reports by the deadline dates.
