Luncheon Meeting – 11:30 a.m. til 1 p.m.

Many ergonomists now believe that continual sitting at a desk can be a health hazard in itself.  Some advocate getting out of the chair or sitting position every hour or two to stretch and get the blood circulating in your body.  Others think it is good to break-up the working day by standing and sitting while standing even if you are writing or working at a computer terminal.

This presentation covers the hot topic of “The Sitting Disease”.  We will cover the effects of sitting and how to prevent these harmful effects on your body.  We will discuss the latest craze in standing desks as well as other new ergonomic products on the market.  We will also discuss how to fit standing desks, more movement, and safe solutions to sitting into your workplace without breaking the bank.
