Workers’ Compensation is an essential benefit that protects employees when they are involved in an on-the-job accident.  Virtually all states provide four types of benefits: medical coverage, disability benefits, rehabilitation and death benefits.  When an employee becomes injured on-the-job, it is critical that an employer respond in a quick, competent and comprehensive manner that best manages the situation and provides the appropriate care necessary to treat the employee and bring them back into workplace.

Ms. O’Connell and Sergent will provide an overview of Ohio Workers’ Compensation System, the roles and responsibilities of partners, how to be proactive and when its’ too late, how to best react.  They will discuss strategies to best impact the bottom line and how to effectively manage your overall program.  They will end with discussion about claims.

Debbie O’Connell and Wendy Sergent each have over 20 years of experience in workers’ compensation. They have been educating, advising, and a resource for employers’ workers’ compensation programs for both the public and private sector. Debbie and Wendy are currently Regional Managers for 1-888-OhioComp, the managed care organization, MCO.
