November 17, 2021
10 a.m. to 11 a.m.
The legalization of marijuana has occurred in many states across the nation including Ohio. It usually starts with legalizing marijuana for medical purposes followed by legalizing marijuana for recreational use. This has caused a great debate between advocates for marijuana and those who advocate a drug-free workplace and those concerned about driving sober and maintaining safe driving on our highways.
This presentation will discuss the evolution of marijuana to current day. It will show how a once illegal substance has become a formidable commodity in the marketplace. It will provide updates on the Ohio Medical Marijuana program, the movement to reschedule the drug in the Controlled Substance Act, pending state and federal legislation, and the impact on your drug testing program. There will be sufficient time for questions and answers.
